In the first video live from AUSPACK PLUS 2013 in Sydney, Ferret.com.au (in conjunction with sister publication Food Magazine) speaks with Tronics and Result Packaging about new innovations in product labelling and wrap application. Tronics shows off its new Series 3000 Mark II labeller, while Result Packaging walks us through the exceptional features of the HERMA 752 full wrap applicator.
The new Tronics Series 3000 Mark II labeller is an evolution of the company’s flagship 3000 series labeller, incorporating a state-of-the-art touchscreen, Unison guide rail system and the latest VideoJet Dataflex system for a complete labelling solution.
The touchscreen on the Series 3000 Mark II enables operators to save parameters that correspond to each of the adjustments to the system, allowing for faster reconfiguration when multiple products are processed on the same line. The Unison guide rail system ensures users can easily move guide rails in and out using one hand reel. The system also features a high speed overhead motor for fast up and down adjustments, and incorporates the latest VideoJet Dataflex system.
By combining these features, the Mark II can effectively be set up in a matter of minutes, saving operators considerable time and effort.
Result Packaging’s HERMA 752 full wrap applicator has been developed specifically for the Australian market. It is designed to apply in one pass a single self-adhesive label to the top, front face and bottom of a pack at speeds of up to 80 units per minute.
The system handles a range of packs up to 340 mm wide and with changeover times of less than four minutes and a variable speed conveyor, it can be easily integrated into existing production lines.
Standard Herma optional extras are available, and if required the 752 can also be configured for linking into upstream weighing equipment to give a weigh price application option.
