PMMI, the Association for Packaging & Processing Technologies is partnering with Koelnmesse GmbH to promote their packaging and processing industry events.
PMMI owns and produces the PACK EXPO family of trade shows while Koelnmesse GmbH is the organiser of trade fairs such as Anuga FoodTec. The agreement allows for promotional support and exhibiting at select events for each group.
Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO, PMMI explains that the partnership with Koelnmesse will enable PMMI exhibitors and attendees fully realise the possibilities that are available globally.
Koelnmesse will add to the marketing efforts for PMMI’s PACK EXPO International, PACK EXPO Las Vegas and EXPO PACK México, while PMMI will reciprocate by promoting Koelnmesse’s Anuga FoodTec, ProSweets Cologne and International FoodTec India.
According to Dietmar Eiden, Vice President Trade Fair Management Koelnmesse GmbH, by exhibiting at each other’s shows, PMMI and Koelnmesse will support their own events, and more importantly, will provide insight to companies considering expansion in North America, Europe and India. The collaboration will allow attendees to get a broader picture of global factors impacting packaging and processing operations.
Yuska adds that attendees to Koelnmesse’s events are dealing with many of the same issues as PACK EXPO attendees, including food safety, sustainability and efficient use of resources, which are critical up and down the supply chain, regardless of geographical location.
The agreement will be in place through 2018, and will cover specific events such as PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.); EXPO PACK México (Mexico City, Mexico); PACK EXPO International (Chicago, Ill., U.S.); Anuga FoodTec (Cologne, Germany); ProSweets Cologne (Cologne, Germany); and International FoodTec India (Mumbai, India).
