The Mechatrolink Members Association (MMA) has launched a membership drive that offers significant benefits for prospective members that apply before March 31st, 2012.
The MMA is an independent non-profit organisation comprised of Mechatrolink product developers and users who promote the use of Mechatrolink, an industrial network optimised for motion control.
Entry level membership to the MMA has always been free, but this new drive allows any end user, machine builder, robot builder, systems integrator or supplier of motion control systems and equipment to join the organisation as a Regular Member for free.
Membership provides a range of benefits for those in the motion control industry, chief among them being preferred access to the fast growing motion control market of China and other parts of Asia.
Membership also enables members to:
- purchase Mechatrolink ASIC chips and sample kits
- submit their products for certification test; and
- introduce and advertise their product on the Mechatrolink website.
In addition, regular members can participate in subcommittees and general meetings, make technical inquiries by email and telephone, and receive product development support.
The free membership will be valid until March 31st, 2013, whereupon it can be renewed on an annual basis. Applications can be made via the MMA website.
