Damien Sharma from Signet in Wakerley, Queensland has been announced as the winner of the Ferret .com.au Survey 2010.
The survey ran through December and January with the winner drawn based on a game of skill, answering in 25 words or less how Ferret.com.au helps them source products and services.
Damien is the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Signet and finds Ferret.com.au a valuable resource for finding and comparing companies’ products and brands.
Signet is a national distributor of healthcare, packaging, stationery, wholesale consumables, cleaning and office supplies and also manufactures a range of industrial marking products, stretch film and plastics.
Damien first came across the site 17 months ago in his role with Signet.
“We list our company on the site as well,” he said.
“And it expanded from there.”
Damien’s position has him overseeing all online activity for Signet including online directories and search engine optimization (SEO). Damien said Ferret.com.au allowed him to work more efficiently as he is able to save time by finding solutions faster.
He sees Ferret.com.au as a credible business resource that makes his job easier but also benefits Signet.
In his role as digital marketer, Damien found that Ferret.com.au gives Signet great SEO and high rankings on Google.
“It’s great for a lead source for customers coming in. We get a lot of leads from the site,” Damien said listing the presentation of showcases and the interactive element of video showcases particularly appealing.
“The layout makes products and phone numbers easy to find,” Damien said.
The survey was designed to gain a better understanding of Ferret.com.au users in order to improve the product and meet users’ wants and needs.
Ferret.com.au are using the information gathered in the recent survey to redesign the site and feed answers and suggestions back into product development to create a better user experience for Ferret.com.au subscribers and generate leads for advertisers.
