Siemsen Group, Grocon, Magnetite and Sun Connect were some of the many building and construction leaders recognised in the Australian Business Awards 2011. The Australian Business Awards is the leading business awards program that recognises an organisation’s efforts and demonstrations in the core values of business excellence, product excellence, corporate responsibility, sustainability and commercial success in their respective industries.
Grocon, a development and construction group, had collected three awards from the Australian Business Awards for Community Contribution, Product Innovation and Best Eco-Friendly Product for their Pixelcrete – a ‘green’ concrete substitute that achieves the same strength as traditional concrete.
Siemsen Group, specialist builders in insurance repairs, also won the Product Innovation award for its online repair management system Claim Central. Magnetite, window glazing specialists, had also taken a product category award in Product Excellence for their Magnetite Retrofit Double Glazing product, which provides a cost effective solution for noise reduction, thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
Sun Connect, manufacturers of solar energy systems and solar panel suppliers, collected the Enterprise Awards, which recognises an organisation that achieves outstanding commercial success through undertaking bold new ventures.
Tara Johnston, Program Director of the Australian Business Awards, said the standard of entries for 2011 was a testament to the strength and resilience of the Australian economy.
“We are proud that the Awards continue to promote the key values in the workplace which foster a vibrant organisational culture and encourage enterprise, product innovation, service excellence, marketing excellence, environmental sustainability and community contribution. We would like to congratulate all the 2011 winners for achieving exceptional results within the respective award categories,” says Johnston.
