Catch websites ferret.com.au and infolink.com.au took first place in their respective categories at the annual Hitwise Online Performance Awards last night (8/2/07).
At a sold-out event attended by the online A-list including Bessie Bardot, with James O’Lauchlan as MC, Catch – the online specialist division of Reed Business Information - was well-represented with Ferret taking out number one website for 2006 in the category of Manufacturing and Industrial, while Infolink came first for Building and Construction.
The Hitwise Online Performance Awards celebrate the most popular website in respective categories over the period of 12 months.
Receiving the awards on behalf of Ferret and Infolink were Alastair Simpson, and Johnny Kairouz respectively.
"This award is the product of a year's hard work by everyone involved, and it's great to see our drive and team work have paid off," Simpson said.
These awards represent the culmination of a great year for both ferret.com.au, infolink.com.au and Catch as a whole, with both websites experiencing massive and rapid growth in content, business listings advertising and traffic.
The Hitwise Online Performance Awards measure over one third of all Australian websites and local Internet users throughout the course of the year and the results are audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Success confirms that for Australian Businesses in the categories of Manfacturing and Industrial, and Building and Construction, Ferret and Infolink are the online business directories at the top.
