Established by the Institute of Public Works Engineers NSW (IPWEA) over 50 years ago as an industry exhibition and forum for all stakeholders in development and infrastructure work, CIVENEX addresses the needs of engineers and contractors in public and private sectors.
According to IPWEA's Stuart Macleod, CIVENEX has developed into one of Australia's key annual sources for review of equipment and services that contribute to productivity in building communities.
CIVENEX 2012 will feature seminars that will focus on issues of keen interest to local government decision-makers and contractors including matters such as OH&S, risk management and procurement probity.
Frank Sticka, IPWEA's CIVENEX Event manager comments that visitors to trade exhibitions tend to be results oriented, spending their limited time and money looking for ways to make their work easier or more profitable.
He explains that exhibitions are about establishing and maintaining business relationships with customers seeking dependable and cost effective solutions and support from the exhibitor for the long term.
CIVENEX 2012 is being held on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th of May, 2012 at the Western Sydney Dragway at Eastern Creek.
