Design & Solutions
Ferno’s Research and Development Team has a proven track record in developing innovative and practical design solutions. With numerous Australian and international patents held for products developed by Ferno Engineering, the R&D Team received a Design Mark in 2008 and a Design Award in 2004 from the Australian International Design Awards.
Equipped with tools for any R&D job, Ferno can quickly transform designs from rough ideas on paper to 3D models that enable the team to try out multiple ideas, check assemblies for fit and function, run finite element analysis and arrive at a solution.
Ferno’s in-house 3D printer uses FDM technology to create solid ABS plastic models that enable the design team to quickly test ideas. To complement this technology, Ferno Engineering also enjoys the benefits of in-house tooling and fabrication equipment, enabling the team to build production-quality prototypes.
