Weinmann products will be supplied to the Australian market from Ferno Australia’s Brisbane-based warehouse though manufacturing will continue in Hamburg Germany. Ferno Australia will continue to offer the range of timely support services previously provided by Weinmann Australia and to ensure a seamless transition Ferno will employ Weinmann General Manager Michael Kornitschuk, who will take on a new role in Ferno of National Product Manager for the Weinmann range.
Ferno Australia has continued its growth strategy of product expansion through home grown innovation at its research and development centres in Brisbane and Perth, as well as the acquisition of new business lines. The strategy has proven successful, with the business reporting a 6.2% sales growth for first quarter 2009.
