AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has unveiled the first model in its new “A” Series RF amplifier line, available from Faraday .
Model 500A250A RF amplifiers cover 10 kHz – 250 MHz and provide a minimum of 500 watts of swept power when used with an RF sweep generator.
The innovative new design of the RF amplifiers packs more power into a smaller size and boasts roughly at 35% reduction in size and weight compared to existing products.
Model 500A250A RF amplifiers replace the following models: 250A250A, 500A100A and 500A250. The 500-watt unit measures 50.3 x 34 x 55.9 cm and weighs 45.8 kg. The 500A250A also has an improved noise figure for increased dynamic range.
The new design features a 9.53 cm (3.75 inch) diagonal graphic display, menu-assigned softkeys, a single rotary knob, and four dedicated switches for extensive control and status reporting capability. All control functions and status indications on the 500A250A RF amplifiers are available remotely in GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, and USB format.
Model 500A250A RF amplifiers provide readily available RF power for typical applications such as RF susceptibility testing, antenna and component testing, watt meter calibration, particle accelerators, plasma generation, communications and for use as a driver for higher power amplifiers.
