FRAMECAD provides affordable housing that could be built simply and cost effectively even in areas where there is a shortage of skilled labour or materials are difficult to source. They employ a team of six people who construct high-quality houses by using advanced technology.
The time taken by them to complete a house is 22 hours. The 40sqm house was built at FRAMECAD’s New Zealand research facility using steel framing manufactured on site and the full suite of FRAMECAD’s building products. The layout of the house was optimised to minimise material and labour usage by using FRAMECAD’s integrated design and engineering software.
The FRAMECAD F300i roll-forming machine produced the framing, and the entire building is constructed with FRAMECAD materials, which includes framing, cladding, lining, flooring, insulation, roofing and building hardware.
