FOSS Pacific has announced the global launch of the new Tecator digestion system for Kjeldahl analysis. Building on a well-known Tecator design, the new digestion system offers laboratories a unique combination of proven usability and innovative technology.
The system provides a range of features for improved laboratory operations and effective compliance with GLP and Health and Safety requirements. These features include two-way PC communication, a Bluetooth interface and data-logging functions for digestion unit activity.
A number of different models are available, from a basic digestion block to the complete 'auto lift' system. The complete system consists of a digestion block, an auto lift unit and the FOSS scrubber unit. This allows fully unattended operation and avoids handling hot chemicals.
All auto models have an integrated control system that precisely controls temperature(s) and timing. The analysis cycle is clearly monitored on the graphical display. Auto models can be connected to a PC for data logging and downloading of standard, and user-defined, applications.
The control system has various password protected access levels to prevent unauthorised modification and to comply with accreditation procedures.
As an alternative to the full system, auto rack versions allow automated digestions but require manual placement of tube rack and exhaust manifold. Auto rack versions can be upgraded to auto lift system
Basic versions have built in, user definable, temperature and time control, but can be fitted with a rack system at any time to save valuable bench space.
All models provide full integration with FOSS Kjeltec systems.
