A compact but versatile addition to the Munsch range of quality extrusion welding equipment has been released by the brand’s supplier for Australia and New Zealand, FHS.
The 3.4 kg Munsch Extruder is a single-hand-operated extruder with integrated on-board pre-heat source for welding plastics widely used throughout a broad cross-section of industries, including PE, PP, PVDF, PVC, PVC-C, Nylon, polyurethane and others.
Munsch Extruder’s one-handed operation and welding rate of 0.6kg an hour with 3mm rod make it highly suitable for industries requiring operator versatility while delivering a professional finish (including automotive, aquaculture, building construction, geosynthetic engineering, irrigation, manufacturing, materials handling, mining and mineral processing, petroleum and energy, primary production, plumbing, water and wastewater)
Features of the new Munsch Extruder include:
- Separate digital control/readout for extrudate and preheat temperatures
- Cold start protection
- Pre-set menu for parameters of thermoplastics to be welded
- No additional air supply required
According to FHS, Munsch Extruder is a quality tool which delivers the performance expected of the Munsch brand, but does it in a unit that is easily mastered by operators on building sites, in workshops, out in the field, or in detailed assembly areas.
With the rapid increase in the number of industries using plastics in new applications and products, Munsch Extruder is expected to be well received by both occasional users and by frequent users who need to keep their hands as free as possible for intricate tasks.
FHS distributes throughout Australasia a broad range of Munsch equipment including models MA-25B, MA-40B, SKR and MA60-B as well as complementary brands such as Forsthoff hot air welders, Omisa butt welders, FHS plastic bending bars, accessories and its own Superfusion brand weld rod.
