Extreme Safety manufacture rubber insulating mats for electrical work. Rubber floor mats or insulating mats are often used in front of switchboards, or as a floor covering in sub stations. Extreme Safety manufacture and supply a variety of insulated matting from LV classes, to Class 2 and Class 4 HV mats.
LV insulating mats are designed for a working voltage of 650V to AS2978:1995 and are available in 3mm thickness (indoor use only) or 6mm thickness. Standard insulating mat sizing is 1m x 1m, however custom lengths are also available.
Class 2 HV Insulating Mats are designed for 17kV working voltage, and are similar in appearance to the LV mats. The Class 2 HV insulating mats are available in sizes, 1m x 1m in 6mm thickness. Custom lengths and sizes are also available. Class 4 matting is a heavier and thicker insulating mat, being 12mm thick and its working voltage is 36kV. Extreme Safety also supply accessories for insulating mats such as mat bags and mat straps (for rolling the mat).
