Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) , Australia’s export credit agency, has appointed Mr John Pacey as Chief Credit Officer. Mr Pacey joins from Bank America where his last position was Country Portfolio Manager & Senior Vice President responsible for the credit management of the bank’s corporate debt portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. While at Bank of America, Mr Pacey also served roles in both Thailand and Indonesia.
These included Country Portfolio Manager and Principal responsible for Bank of America’s corporate and financial institutions portfolios in Thailand, and as Vice President in its Special Assets Group in Indonesia.
In welcoming Mr Pacey, Managing Director and CEO Angus Armour said “John’s enthusiasm and breadth of experience will be a great asset to EFIC in this role and at this time, as EFIC faces increasing demand to help exporters to win, finance and protect export trade and overseas investments when their banks are unable to provide all the support they need.”
As Chief Credit Officer, John Pacey will head a team working across transactions, large and small, managing exposures to risk and ensuring that all transactions meet EFIC’s strict criteria for risk, environmental and social standards.
