WHEN installing industrial ducting into a factory, there is often an issue to deal with "cutting to size" the last length of duct required to fill the required gap in a system.
Speedlock Ducting's telescopic duct is a modular, galvanised steel duct that extends 50mm to 450mm, thus allowing the duct to fit the required gap when installing or repositioning dust extraction systems.
It is made up of a straight piece of ducting, slightly smaller than a standard size, which fits and slides inside the regular diameter piece of duct. It slides in and out to fit the final gap.
The telescopic length is held in place with a lock ring to ensure no movement occurs and no leakage of the fume or dust that is being conveyed through the duct.
With the telescopic ducting systems none of these manual adjustments are required. The telescopic piece slides into one of the adjoining lengths of duct and then slides to meet the other end at exactly the right distance to join.
The end where the telescopic slides in and out is secured by a lock ring used as part of the standard insulation process.
