Although ducting is used across the industries to handle any product transfer, often overlooked is the importance of the seal and the capability for it to handle its media.
Eximo Duct End Seals have been developed to handle media in some of the aggressive environments and across a wide temperature range. Made to be use with the Eximo’s range of Standard Lock Rings, Eximo Duct End seals gains its performance factor from a profiled EPDM rubber compound.
Available in sizes ranging from 80mm to 400mm in diameter, these EPDM rubber seals are hard wearing, and only one is required per connection. The seal is placed over the head on Eximo duct prior to any assembly. Hardness is 80° shore and the product tolerates temperatures ranging from -40°C to +100°C.
This technology minimises leakage into the ductwork by bringing each joint down to less than 0.25% leakage factor, basically as close as it can get to leakproof. To survive in some applications working in such aggressive environments as oil, petrol and acids, the Eximo Duct End Seals is also available in nitrile rubber.
As with the basic range, Eximo Duct End Seals is also available in diameters ranging from 80mm to 400mm and hardness is 80° shore and temperature operating range from -15°C to 80°C.
