The Eximo rotor collector
The Eximo rotor collector comes with a bag filter, which is emptied by way of a rotary valve. It is designed for small applications and comes with a standard filter media or a 401 gm polyester bag. Made from 1.25 to 2.0 mm galvanised plate steel, it can be installed inside or outside.
The modular dust collector available from Eximo can be ordered as a single row of units or as a double row of units for extra cleaning power. The entry point for the filter is at the end of the unit, opposite the rotary valve, whilst the clean air is expelled from the top of the unit. The Eximo Rotor Unit is designed for the mining, manufacturing, packaging, machining, cutting, automotive, chemicals, electronics and paint industries.
The filter needs to be ordered with the height of the legs, the length of the filter bags, the type of finish on the filter bags, the number of doors and any fire dampers in mind. Rotary valves are available in 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 metre lengths, which move larger volumes of waste and are dependent on the length of rotary valve that is used.
According to Melissa Phelps, General Manager of Eximo, the new rotor dust collectors have several other advantages. Firstly, the dust collectors use positive pressure (blowing) rather than negative pressure, (sucking), which makes them more effective, cheaper to run and easier to clean. Also, they are modular, allowing an almost unlimited number of units to be bolted next to each other, allowing for easy installation and, if required, expansion when a business moves or grows.
Secondly, because these systems use an 14-bag configuration rather than the standard 25-bag one, they have a much greater air flow throughput the bag assembly, meaning less power usage and costs and the bags will also last much longer, which in turn means less downtime for replacing the bags and less cost to the company fro replacement bags, Melissa Phelps added.
