The Exact Holding N.V has announced the intention to appoint Mr Erik van den Meijden as the new CEO for Exact Software , to succeed the current Mr Max Timmer as of the 26th April, 2012.
Van der Meijden was the former CEO of Getronics until May 2011 and has had vast experience in the Netherlands I.T industry. Starting out as a consultant with Andersen (currently Accenture) and joined Compaq (currently HP) in 1989.
He then became Managing Director of Compaq in the Netherlands in 1999 and after the acquisition of Compaq by HP in 2002 he had held several positions within the company. Then went on to become the Vice President of Technology Solutions Group and Managing Director in General Western Europe and left in 2007.
Van der Meijden then joined KPN in 2007 and after the acquisition of Getronics by KPN, Mr Van der Meijden became CEO of Getronics leading the integration and restructuring of the company and improving their previous financial situation.
Mr Timmer, will step down as a member of the Board of Managing Directors on the 26th April, 2012, where Van der Meijden and Timmer will ensure a thorough handover of tasks and responsibilities.
