An expanded range of Evcco PVC-Free Safety and Environmental Conduit in diameters up to 150mm is being released by Albatech Pty Ltd for specifiers seeking to achieve the highest environmental star ratings for commercial and industrial projects.
The Evcco PVC-Free Safety and Environmental Conduit range – manufactured in Australia from recycled polymer – is used to carry electrical and data cabling in surface and in-ground applications, offering low carbon footprints and minimal green house gas emissions whilst retaining the polymer’s inherent characteristics of light weight and high impact resistance.
The halogen free, flame retardant conduit offers environmental benefits and improved safety over other types of conduit, says Albatech. These advantages have led to its increasingly broad acceptance for above and in- ground uses.
As part of Evcco’s marketing strategy to offer a complete line of PVC replacement parts, they have now added to their range 125mm and 150mm conduit, sockets and bends as well as deep junction boxes in the 20 and 25mm range.
The use of recycled polymer is aimed at architects, engineers and project specifiers involved in projects demanding the use of environmentally sustainable products at every stage of development if they seek to attain environmental star ratings that are fast becoming the standard for major government and private work.
While aimed primarily at such new buildings, the Evcco PVC-Free Safety and Environmental Conduit range can also improve industrial risk management in applications including factories, infrastructure, gas processing, mineral processing, coal washing, petroleum and food and primary product processing plants. In addition to protecting electrical and data cabling under normal operating conditions, the conduit also emits less smoke, no halogen emissions and offers fire retardant qualities when subjected to flame.
The Evcco PVC-Free Safety and Environmental Conduit range is available in medium and heavy duty in Grey, Black, Orange & White colours. U.V. protection is standard and can be offered with FRAS performance where fire-resistant, anti-static properties may be specified, such as in data installations.
