Albatech have announced a new range of environmentally friendly and flame retardant anti-static data cabling conduits. The FRAS polymer safety conduit, available from Evcco , offers a halogen-free flame retardant polymer (HFFR) formulation developed as an alternative to PVC and metal conduits.
According to Albatech, the FRAS polymer safety conduit does not contain toxins that can leach into soil or surrounding structures or be released into the air by fire.
The white-coloured data cabling conduit is light and easy to install and is an alternative to metal conduit used in applications such as telecommunication, data processing and production automation equipment used across a range of industries.
Specifically formulated for “green” commercial and industrial buildings, as well as new and refurbished data installations requiring environmental upgrading, the recyclable and reusable FRAS polymer safety conduit produces no corrosive or toxic flue gases in the event of a fire.
Albatech also note that companies depending on vital electronic installations including telecommunication, data processing and production automation plants often limit static electricity by installing anti-static floors, cupboards and other fittings.
According to Evcco, FRAS polymer safety conduit is a halogen-free flame-retardant anti-static (HFFR) product, which also has high impact resistance for durability in service.
The new FRAS polymer safety conduit/data cabling conduit joins the range of Evcco halogen-free conduits used to carry data cabling in surface and sub-surface applications and also used within safety equipment such as aspiration systems and air sampling systems for protection against smoke and toxicity.
The Australian-manufactured safety conduits are designed for areas where there are high concentrations of people, high concentrations of assets or risk of high costs due to production interruption.
Applications include advanced technology industrial plants, mining plants, rail and road tunnels, airports, subway systems, power plants, oil refineries, lifts, emergency plants, ships, aircraft, trains, computer and telecommunication installations.
These safety conduits can also be used in hospitals, schools, hotels, museums, theatres, shopping centres and conference centres.
