EVAHAN has released an new online ordering system that offers increased sales and reductions in fulfilment costs for sales and distribution companies.
Biovend’s Order Window system was developed as a supply chain management tool for the life sciences industry and has found applications in other markets. It is simple to install and use and provides a better solution than paper, fax or web-based ordering systems. It puts the price list and catalogues in front of customers and provides them with an easier, faster way to order products.
It is a standalone touch screen ordering system located at the customer's premises. It allows clients to easily view catalogues and place online orders. It connects to a central bureau via wireless GPRS, LAN or modem and provides a secure means of placing orders.
The central server model allows easy setup at the client's site. All data is only loaded once (at the central bureau), then automatically downloads to each Order Window installed.
With wireless connection on the Telstra or Optus GPRS network, installation is as simple as removing the Order Window from its box and plugging into a power point. It's immediately fully operational and ready for clients to enter orders. Any changes to a product catalogue or pricing need only be completed once at the central bureau.
Multiple pricing structures are also catered for, with different pricing possible for each site. All orders are received at the central bureau, consolidated and made available for the sales order entry system.
Order Window uses Dallas Semiconductor iButton technology for system access control. Individual users are identified and associated to activity, allowing individual credit limits to be set for each User. This provides improved security on pricing and product information when compared to paper based or web-based systems.
