PART of the new Eurotherm series 2000 family of process and temperature controllers is a range of powerful, low cost controllers.
The compact panel mounting model 2132 [1/32 DIN (24 x 48mm)] and model 2116 [1/16 DIN (48 x 48mm)] use advanced PID algorithms to provide stable 'straight line' temperature control.
Self-tuning is included to optimise the control performance without the need for specialist knowledge or training. The PID control mode can also be switched off if required.
A universal input allows for 9 internally stored thermocouple types (J, K, T, L, N, R, S, B & P) plus Pt100 and process inputs such as 4-20mA, 0-20mA and 0-10Vdc, while another 11 thermocouple are available as factory downloadable inputs.
Two outputs are configurable for heating, cooling or alarm functions, which are set via front accessible tactile buttons ensuring positive operation.
Three internal alarm setpoints are provided, configurable as high, low or deviation alarms. These alarms can be blocked on start-up to prevent unnecessary operator alerts. Heater failure can be detected when the controller is used with a TE10S solid state relay.
A 4 digit display is used as the operator interface, the functionality of which can be customised to present only those parameters that an operator needs to see and adjust, while all other parameters are locked under password protection.
The cost-effective, simple-to-use 2100 series controllers provide ideal process control solutions for applications such as simple heating and cooling, small ovens, chillers, sterilisers, trace heating, heat sealing and injection moulding.
