DeviceNet compatible controllers

THE Eurotherm 2200e series of precision controllers are available in three models: 2204e (1/4 DIN), 2208e (1/8 DIN) & 2216e (1/16 DIN, 48 x 48mm), and are all compatible with industry standard protocols including DeviceNet and Modbus, allowing for easy connection to supervisory control and data logging systems.

The 2200e range allows for programmable control modes of PID, ON/OFF or motorised valve, modular heating and cooling outputs, with a choice of one or two alarm relay outputs, and an optional 10A high current option.

Two digital inputs are provided to select auto/manual transfer, standby mode, second setpoint or alarm acknowledgement. Simple heat treatment profiles can be programmed using the internal ramp generator and dwell timer.

With Eurotherm's PD/CTX advanced load-monitoring facilities, heater current may also be displayed, as well as open or short circuit faults detected. Common remote setpoint transfer between controllers is also available.

Advanced PID algorithms to provide stable 'straight line' temperature control. Self-tuning is included to optimise the control performance without the need for specialist knowledge or training.

A universal input allows for 9 internally stored thermocouple types (J, K, T, L, N, R, S, B & P) plus Pt100 and process inputs such as 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 1-5V or 0-10Vdc while another 11 thermocouple are available as factory downloadable inputs.

Dual 4 digit displays provide the operator interface, the functionality of which can be customised to present only those parameters that an operator needs to see and adjust, while all other parameters are locked under password protection. Configuration is achieved either via the front-panel interface or by using Eurotherm's "iTools" configuration package running under the Windows 95 or NT operating systems.

The simple-to-use 2200e series controllers provide ideal process control solutions for applications such as extrusion with optimised fan or oil cooling, ovens, furnaces, cold stores, gas burner/boiler control, film, pipe & wire extrusion, plastic & rubber solid extrusion and blending.
