The new illuminated handles have been designed for use in dark places where it is important to notice them quickly and safely. But they also do a good job indicating states and conditions.
Connect the handle to doors or flaps, and the integrated duo LED will show whether the door or flap has opened or closed completely.
The installation elements are suitable for devices and racks as well and may be used even for handling bigger loads (depending on materials and designs, of course).
For the design of this new system, Mentor benefited heavily from their longstanding experience as a designer and manufacturer of both handles and light guides.
The components are injection-moulded and made of a clear material. That means they transmit the light (no matter which colour from the duo LED) directly to the emitting surface and thus provide for optimum visibility of the state indicated.
The system consists of a handle with integrated light guide, support, socket with insert and duo LED plus screws and nuts, etc. The product is supplied in pieces and easy to assemble and install in three simple steps.
The combination of various sizes, designs and finishes results in a total of 23 different types between 40 and 173.5mm long, providing much liberty in their application. The handle will be connected using a 2.8 x 0.8mm plug.
