Semi-matte contract proofing paper
EPSON Australia has released its new white semi-matte proofing paper, aimed at the contract proofing market, for its 800 series large format printers and UltraChrome K3 inks.
“Epson printers print a large portion of the contract proofs in Australia, and this new paper reinforces Epson’s strength in this segment,” Epson’ Pro Graphics business manager Craig Heckenberg said.
When used with Epson’s UltraChrome K3 Ink, Epson proofing paper has UltraChrome’s short term colour stability making it ideal for fast turn around contract proofing. The paper has a special Epson Proof watermark on the back for easy identification as a genuine Epson proof.
“Epson Proofing Paper White Semimatte has been engineered to absorb a high amount of ink while accurately maintaining dot shape and size. This high ink absorption combined with dot shape and size will produce proofs of amazing image quality and colour,” Craig said.
Epson stringently tests all its papers to perform faultlessly with its printers to prevent costly paper feeding problems which can cause print head damage and banding.
The paper is currently 3DAP approved with the GMG RIP and further approval is being sought for other third-party RIP products over the coming months.
