Leading automation solutions and services specialist, Diamond Key International (DKI) is implementing the next generation ERP solution from Epicor Software in multiple markets throughout the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
Epicor Software Corporation is a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations. DKI is a leading provider of automation solutions and services to manufacturers and system integrators specialising in bulk liquid storage, transfer and distribution.
DKI plans to expand its engagement with Epicor by rolling out the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to multiple markets in Asia Pacific to support its growth strategy.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, DKI’s Asia Pacific operations also service New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong and China.
Having implemented Epicor ERP to replace a number of disparate legacy IT systems at the company’s Australian operations last year, DKI now intends to leverage the solution to support its entire Asia Pacific operations.
Prior to the Epicor ERP implementation, DKI did not have a fully comprehensive and scalable ERP system in place to manage its financials and other business critical processes on one centralised platform. Based on the success of Epicor ERP in its Australian operations, the company has now decided to roll the system out to support its growth strategy across the wider APAC region.
According to Henry Brockman, corporate finance manager at Diamond Key International, in addition to the robust and flexible nature of the Epicor ERP platform, DKI was also impressed with the system’s ability to provide a centralised view of its entire business and a single point of accountability.
He specifically mentions the dashboards offered as part of the Epicor ERP platform, which provides the company with a consolidated view of all projects underway, as well as a granular view of every component involved in each project.
For instance, the design phase of a project may take place in Australia, manufacturing in China and installation for the customer in Malaysia. Having increased visibility and control of a project that is being undertaken across several locations helps DKI operate efficiently and remain a profitable entity.
Epicor’s project management functionality plays an incredibly important role in DKI’s day-to-day operations. Brockman expects more benefits to flow into the company once the ERP software is implemented across all geographies of operation.
Commenting on DKI’s plans to extend its engagement with Epicor throughout the Asia Pacific region, Craig Charlton, senior vice president, APAC operations at Epicor says that Epicor ERP has proved itself to be a critical business enabler and productivity driver for rapidly growing organisations with ambitious growth strategies across multiple markets.
He adds that their ongoing engagement with DKI is just one example of the growing number of local, regional and global customers that use the Epicor ERP platform as the backbone of their business.
