Carekits from Enware Australia have been installed in new BP service stations in South Australia with the toilet facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of Australian Standard AS1428.1-2009.
Compliant with regulations for public facilities in new or upgraded premises, Carekit toilet product packages from Enware Australia also provide an attractive, welcoming toileting environment to motorists who may be accustomed to clean but basic facilities.
The first new BP station to be fitted with the Carekit was BP On The Run in Belair, Adelaide, followed by five more stations. New BP service stations with Carekits are expected in the next 12 months.
The Enware Carekit packages installed at the six BP service stations include:

  • IFO 6861 Sign freestanding increased height toilet
  • IFO 7752 Sign basin with built-in shelf
  • SGR013 stainless steel continuous grab rail
  • Enware LEV150302 pillar tap
  • IFO 15980 chrome microtap
Enware South Australian sales manager Peter Cerone explains that BP service stations often had only one accessible toilet, without any provision for hot water. The modified Carekit provides an attractive, practical solution that complies with AS1428.1-2009 and meets the disability access requirements in public facilities.
Key advantages of the Carekit packages include cost-efficiency, and neat looks without the appearance of a disability toilet.
Design highlights of IFO toilets in the Carekits include increased seat height for ease of sitting and a seamless cistern that acts as both reservoir and backrest, complying with the standard that requires accessible toilets to be fitted with a backrest. The toilets are also set out from the wall for disability access.
The IFO toilet range from Enware Australia includes freestanding one piece units and wall hung options. Units are enabled with fresh WC hygiene solution in the flush button. The IFO 6861 Sign toilet is specially designed for aged care facilities, hospitals, schools, nursing homes and public areas.
A continuous grab rail is provided for users who might have difficulty in sitting down or getting to their feet.
The IFO Sign basin with built-in shelf is a smooth, compact basin with a raised rear edge and a choice of left or right shelf. It can be cabinet mounted or wall mounted with brackets.
The tapware included in the Carekits are robust Australian-made taps, designed for optimum hygiene and ergonomic performance in demanding applications. The LEVA 150 range features a longer-levered design for hands-free operation while allowing elbow lever-activation to help reduce the risk of cross contamination.
Manufactured in Sweden, the IFO range of fixtures and fittings includes basins, toilets, urinals, bathroom vanities and baths. IFO products are accredited to ISO 14001 and also meet Australian Standards and WELS water efficiency ratings.
Enware’s broad range of tapware includes water-efficient showers with anti-vandal options, handheld showers and trigger-activated shampoo sprays suitable for commercial amenities, hospitals, hotels, sporting facilities, beaches and public areas.
