The Aquablend SQX are the first watermarked certified, Australian made thermostatic mixing valves of their kind, and their enhanced thermostatic performance is the next generation of products within Enware’s Aquablend TMV range.
In the prevention of scalding or user discomfort, these thermostatic mixing valves precisely blend heated and cold water at the point of use to ensure a constant desired temperature – typically in a range from 38deg ºC to 43.5deg ºC at wash basins, showers and bathtubs.
In the event of cold or hot water supply failure, the thermostatic mixing valves safely deliver to plus or minus 2 degrees ºC under varying temperature and pressure conditions. Safety from scalding and shock is ensured by the thermal shut-off capabilities.
Typically stored in buildings at around 60 ºC or above, water removes possible breeding ground for deadly Legionella bacteria. However, without mixing with cold water, this temperature may scald if inadvertently released. Additionally it is well recognized that where heated water is stored or re-circulated within a building at temperatures below this, it presents an increased risk of high microbial counts (Legionella) thus posing further risk to the user.
A number of unique design features of the Aquablend SQX sequential thermostatic mixer range includes:
- Australian designed and manufactured
- Integrated sequential thermostatic cartridge
- Heat disinfection directly at the point of use
- Cool Touch technology minimises heat transfer to the outer
- Water and energy efficiency - cold water is always initially drawn through the mixer first, providing cost saving
- Ergonomically designed lever handles
- Self - draining spout technology
The Aquablend SQX Thermostatic range includes:
- Basin pillar taps
- Shower mixers
- Wall- mounted surgeon set
The extended lever design provides easy control for people with disabilities and for surgical / clinical hand washing, with optional flow rates to meet the facility designer's needs.
The Aquablend SQX thermostatic mixers also have great environmental benefits, pushing both water and energy efficiencies beyond those found with traditional tapware and thermostatic mixer combinations, such as primary materials used in the construction and packaging of the Aquablend SQX are 100 per cent recyclable.
