Enstor is a provider a range of software and hardware data storage solutions. Enstor also provides internal server discs. In internal storage discs, Enstor provides distributed storage (also known as Direct Attached Storage or DAS) which still provides a great deal of corporate information.
Enstor also provides fibre channels and Storage Area Networks (SAN) which helps to connect servers with data storage devices and enable resource sharing between hosts. A fibre channel SAN provided by Enstor does not replace LAN or WAN but it is complements the SANs combine the high throughput of channels (SCSI) with the flexibility of networks (ethernet).
Enstor also provides tape media automation which is a tape library and helps to manage the increasing requirements of data volumes. Some of the advantages of tape media automation provided by Enstor include improved backup reliability and improved service. With the help of improved backup reliability provided by tape media automation, short term staff illness or absence does not disrupt normal, automate and backup operations.
Enstor also provides storage networks consultancy capabilities which cover various areas like block and file storage profiling and capacity planning, storage system logical unit layout and optimisation and so on.
