ENERPAC has released the SQD 25-1 torque wrench. At 2.5kg it is the most compact of a range of square and hexagonal drive torque wrenches for any bolting task, with different models producing 2,350Nm-27,000Nm and weighing between 2kg and 24kg.
The SQD series has a standard square drive for use with sockets and an Alley-key drive is also available for capscrews. The wrenches have a slim-nose radius and 360º swivel hose connection for easier tool positioning in confined areas.
They incorporate the power, convenience and safety of 800 bar double-acting hydraulic operation, which increases tool portability and reduces cycle times. Standard equipment includes quick-release couplers and a reaction arm, as well as push-button drive release, with no tools needed to reverse square or Allen-key drives for tightening or loosening.
Standard square drives extend from three-quarter inch to two-and-a-half inch, depending on the model (square drive sizes are almost universally stated as imperial). Optional Allen-key drives are available in metric sizes of 14mm-70mm and imperial sizes of half-inch to two-and-a-half inch, depending on the model. The five SQD wrenches are constructed from corrosion-resistant materials an they incorporate a never-jam mechanism and repeatability of 3% accuracy.
They have few moving parts for durability, require little maintenance and are suitable for service in heavy industrial environments including automotive manufacturing, construction sites, engineering and fabrication facilities and in electricity generation/distribution utilities. They can also be used in the maintenance facilities for manufacturing, metal processing, mining, food product processing, packaging, printing and petroleum and gas plants. System-matched air and electrically powered hydraulic pumps can be supplied.
