Enerpac understands the safety risks and hazards involved in refacing smaller diameter pipe flanges. Sometimes these pipes can be located right at the top of a refinery, mineral processing, waste water or processing installation, or many kilometres away from the nearest power.
Enerpac presents the QuickFace portable hand-powered flange facing tool, ideal for refacing smaller diameter pipe flanges and preventing safety injury, risks and hazards. The QuickFace tool was recently demonstrated at the Manual Handling Ergonomics Expo, by Rio Tinto Alcan (RTA), at Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) Gladstone.
The QuickFace tool, by Enerpac, transforms a two man operation – with heavy equipment, compressors and portable generators – into a one-man job. The QuickFace tool is suitable for a range of processing and pipeline-intensive industries. Features of the QuickFace tool:
- A wide mounting range of 25.4mm (1”) – 157.5mm (6”) ID.
- Capable of facing 25.4 mm (1”) – 304.8mm (12”) OD flanges using standard half-inch cutting tools.
- In addition, the tool can be paired with different lead screws making it suitable for resurfacing damaged raised-face or lens-ring joint flanges.
