HYDRAULIC maintenance kits from high-force tool specialist Enerpac are designed to help overcome maintenance difficulties by coupling their selection of versatile tools with lightweight but powerful cylinders of 2.5 to 12 tonnes capacity and highly portable two-speed hand pumps engineered for rapid operation.
The easily handled pumps - weighing only 2-4kg, depending on model - reduce hand strokes as much as 78 per cent compared with single-stage types, while highly portable RC cylinders, weighing from 2-10 kg, are designed for use in any position so as to improve access to the job.
The MS2 series universal hydraulic tool box contains a complete assortment of hydraulically powered tools required for tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, pressing, straightening, spreading and clamping.
These include (in addition to pump and cylinder) hose, gauge, lock-on or threaded connectors, clamps, couplers, chains, wedges and spreaders. Safety features include jacking bases for stability and serrated saddles for maximum grip on workpieces.
Weighing from 26-95kg for transport by work vehicles and even aircraft, the kits are designed for quick use wherever they are deployed.
Enerpac Australasian managing director Roy Coulson says they can be rapidly employed for urgently needed repairs or rescue work hundreds of kilomtres from base, or routinely employed as a versatile part of standard workshop equipment, used every day.
"One of the beauties of the kits is that they are designed for continual use, either in the field or in the workshop, with the selection of tools tailored to saving time on tasks most commonly encountered throughout industry."
