Enerpac (A Division of Actuant Corp) has introduced a durable, lightweight and compact range of stressing jacks for use in the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries. 

Designed for use on elevated structures including bridges, beams, production plants, resource facilities and high-rise buildings, the 30-ton hardened steel hollow double-acting jacks are part of a comprehensive family of stressing products from Enerpac, including a complete range of anchors, chucks, wedges and stressing jack systems for pre-tensioning and post-tensioning applications.

Weighing 20-27kg, Enerpac’s 6DAH series hollow jacks stress strands up to 0.6” diameter, with their powered extension and retraction safely and simply controlled by a bleed valve on the pump. Standard jack strokes extend from 150mm to 300mm while jack grippers are available for smaller 0.5” diameter strands. 

Enerpac’s family of stressing products is complemented by the global Enerpac range of high pressure (700 bar) precision hydraulics, including the advanced ZU4 pumps, which are widely proven in the construction, resources and infrastructure industries.

Enerpac’s high-efficiency two-speed pumps feature higher oil flow and bypass pressure (85 bar) for cooler running, requiring 18% less current draw than comparable pumps. The high performance ZU4T’s self-priming first stage increases pump performance by supercharging the second stage piston pump, improving oil flow in both hot and cold weather operations.

A specially engineered version of the ZU4 pumps, the ZU4408REA300 featuring a bleed-off valve has been engineered for the Enerpac stressing jacks. After the cable is stressed to the correct tension, the operator slowly opens this valve to allow the wedges to bind on to the cable without slippage.
