Cat Rental Power, the rental business arm of Energy Power Systems Australia , has announced a new addition to its fleet of generator sets.
The new Cat 1360kVA generator is the same size as the company's previous 1250kVA model, but as Wade Bailey from Cat Rental Power notes, "with more features built into the compact unit.”
The new generator set has a bigger onboard fuel capacity of 3000 litres, as well as being capable of handling higher ambient temperatures of between 45 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Wade adds that “not only does this gen set offer increased output and capacity, its design gives service technicians access to most of the engine without removing it from the canopy.”
In addition, the costs associated with the transport of generator sets can be reduced with this new model, as all cables needed for operation are stored onboard.
“Rather than requiring a separate vehicle to carry all the cabling, this can be transported in a stillage within the unit itself, all conveniently encased inside the one 20’ container,“ Wade explains.
Powered by a Cat 3512B engine, the new generator set is impressively fuel efficient, and is compatible with power utility networks, making it an ideal choice for applications that require a reliable and rugged generator to be deployed quickly and easily.
