ENDRESS+Hauser has released the Ceraphant rangeable pressure transducer, with a stainless steel housing and an integrated display.
It can act as a pressure switch as well as a basic pressure transducer, and is available with an analogue 4mA-20mA output with a selection of process connections. It provides safe measurement and monitoring of absolute and gauge pressures in gases, vapours and liquids by switching off when a predetermined pressure switch point is reached. It is suitable for any situation where a switching function can complement continuous measurement.
Three models are available. The Ceraphant T PTC31 is fitted with the corrosion and abrasion-proof, overload-resistant Ceraphire ceramic measuring cell. It is designed for applications up to 40 bar. For applications greater than 40 bar the Ceraphant T PTP31 is suitable. It has a metallic sensor diaphragm. The Ceraphant T PTP35 is suitable for hygienic applications.
Ceraphant meets the SIL 2 functional safety standard. Switch outputs can be one PNP, two PNP, or have additional analogue output 4mA-20mA (active). The illuminated LED display enables visualisation of measured values in their corresponding units. Ceraphant can be operated on site via a three-key operation and monitored remotely from a PC using the free ReadWin 2000 software tool.
