Pressure Transmitter from Endress+Hauser
Product/Service Name
Cerabar S Pressure Transmitter
Pressure Transmitter for Measurement in Liquids
Pressure Transmitters
Endress+Hauser introduce a new Cerabar S with Foundation Fieldbus which measures volume, level, mass and pressure.
The new Cerabar S has the added power of distributed control, scalable features and economy.
Applications of the Cerabar S
Used for the following measuring tasks:
- High pressure up to 700 bar
- Level, volume or mass measurement in liquids
- International usage thanks to a wide range of approvals
- High process temperature with typical diaphragm seals up to 400°C (752°F)
- Absolute pressure and gauge pressure in gases, steams or liquids in all
areas of process engineering and process measurement technology
Features of the Cerabar S Pressure Transmitter
- Extensive diagnostic functions
- Turn down 100:1, higher on request
- HistoROM®/M-DAT memory module
- Quick commissioning thanks to quick setup menu
- Very good reproducibility and long term stability
- Function monitored from the measuring cell to the electronics
- High reference accuracy: up to ±0.075%, as Platinium version: ±0.05%
- Used for process pressure monitoring up to SIL3, certified according to IEC 61508 by TÜV SÜD
- Easy and safe menu guided operation on site, via 4 to 20 mA with HART, via Foudation Fieldbus
Benefits of the Cerabar S Pressure Transmitter with Distributed Control
- In critical applications such as toxic processes, it is important to guarantee the exact response time for data availability
- The Cerabar S with SIL, PED and IEC Ex approvals already ranks as the
safest, highest performing, most stable pressure transmitter in the
market
- Instead of merely providing a pressure measurement at the output, the
Cerabar S can be transformed into a full PID controller with the
ability to measure pressure as well as provide control for a process
- With up to the minute data storage capabilities, extended operating and
measurement parameters, it is the complete solution for all pressure
applications
- Since the new Cerabar S acquires the measurement and processes it independently of other data traffic on the bus network, the response time is two to three times faster, making it the preferred configuration for critical control or safety interlocks
