ENDRESS+Hauser has added portability to its range of PROline ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeters with the introduction of the Prosonic Flow 92 portable flowmeter.
Offering quick installation, easy set-up and commissioning across a variety of pipeline diameters and construction materials, the self-powered unit has a battery-life of up to 5 hours.
Utilising the high-accuracy time-of-flight technology pioneered in the range of Endress+Hauser flowmeters designed for fixed installation, the portable 'Flow 92' is suitable for calibration and validation of magnetic and other flowmeters, process optimisation, leak detection, demand analysis and verification and testing.
The heart of the Flow 92 system, a self-powered data logger and evaluation unit, offers data logging of up to 40,000 measurements along with data trending capabilities. Stored data can be downloaded for further analysis through an RS232 interface.
The Flow 92 has an external 4-20mA input option (typically the output of a magnetic flowmeter requiring validation of accuracy) to facilitate comparison testing of flowmeters. Any deviation detected can be stored for later analysis.
If required, the Flow 92 can be converted to a permanent installation without altering the sensor set-up. The only change required is the replacement of the existing portable evaluation unit with a high-functionality Endress+Hauser DMU93 transmitter.
Suitable for use in all safe areas, this lightweight and robust portable Prosonic Flow 92 offers a clear and easy to operate user interface. The site set-up menu, accessed through a clear, graphic LCD screen, allows for fast on-site set-up.
Self-contained in its own storage and carry case, the system needs only two sensors to cover the compete range of applications from DN15 to DN4000.
Both sensors are rated IP52 and are included in the carry case, along with all installation accessories, battery charger and sensor cables.
