Proline T-mass 65 Thermal Dispersion Flow Meter

Proline T-mass 65 Thermal Dispersion Flow Meter

  • The new Proline t-mass 65, launched by Endress+Hauser, provides direct, accurate measurement of gas mass flow and as an added benefit, provides temperature as an output
  • Since the mass flow of gas is a direct output and is not a derived measurement, t-mass improves accuracy and reduces installation costs

What Can The Proline T-mass 65 Be Used For?
The t-mass 65, a thermal dispersion flow meter, is capable of handling a wide variety of gas types and can therefore be used in numerous applications such as:

  • Measuring mass flow rates of natural gas to boilers and dryers
  • Carbon dioxide flow in breweries
  • Biogas and aeration air in waste water plants
  • Gas production
  • Leakage detection
  • Air compressor efficiency

Measurement Capabilities
The gas to be measured can be made up of a single pure gas such as CO2, or a mixture of up to eight different components, easily and simply selectable from the onboard database of 20 standard gases, as long as the exact composition is known. Proline t-mass 65 can be used to measure air, ammonia, argon, butane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, chlorine, ethane, ethylene, helium 4, hydrogen (normal), hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulphide, krypton, methane, neon, nitrogen, oxygen, propane and xenon.

Features Offered

  • Proline t-mass 65 includes gas-specific temperature compensation
  • Offers 4…20mA galvanically isolated combined current, pulse outputs, as well as Profibus DP and Modbus interfaces
  • All internationally accepted Ex approvals are included

Flanged Version
The flanged version, Proline t-mass 65F, is suitable for pipe diameters DN15 to DN100, process temperatures -40ºC to +100ºC and medium pressures -0.5 to 40 bar. It has an accuracy of ±1.5% of reading for 100% to 20% of full scale, and ±0.3% of reading for 20% to 1% of full scale, and a repeatability of 0.5% for flow velocities above 0.2 m/s. Typical applications are pure gases, compressed air and natural gas.

Insertion Version
An insertion version, Proline t-mass 65I, is also available with insertion lengths from 235mm to 608mm. It is suitable for temperatures from –40ºC to +130ºC, pressures from –0.5 to 20 bar, and has the same accuracy and repeatability as the flanged version. Typical applications are air ducts, HVAC and digesters.
