Promass E Coriolis flow meters from Endress + Hauser Australia are the first with true 2 wire technology, offering twice the resolution and accuracy of standard meters.

Due to their power requirements, existing 2 wire Coriolis flow meters are limited to using only 12-20mA, whilst the new Promass E offers the full output range of 4-20 mA.

These new flow meters are based on proven Coriolis sensor technology, offering reliable, simultaneous measurement of mass flow, fluid density and temperature while meeting all the relevant safety standards such as NAMUR and SIL.

Like other loop-powered devices, Promass E Coriolis flow meters can be seamlessly integrated into existing plant systems at lower cost due to the reduced cabling and installation time, and an IEC Ex certified design ensures they are suitable for use in hazardous areas.

A user-oriented operator interface makes commissioning and operation faster and more reliable, with application-specific set up possible via the local display, FieldCare or any open FDT/DTM configuration tool.

With operator, maintenance and expert menus the user only has access to the configuration parameters they need, improving the simplicity and safety of operation.

Intuitive fault and troubleshooting messages are directly displayed for fast resolution.

Device, event and configuration data is securely stored on a patented HistoROM, enabling the transfer of configurations to other similar Promass E Coriolis flow meters during commissioning; or the fast exchange of measuring electronics without the need for re-calibration.

Promass E Coriolis flow meters can measure liquids such as acids, alkalis and solvents, as well as all gases.

The application pressure range extends to 10 MPa with a process temperature range of -40 °C to 140 °C.

They can be supplied with line sizes from DN8 to DN50 and has mass/volume flow accuracies of ±0.25% and density accuracy of ±0.0005 g/cm3.
