For over 4 years Emona Instruments has been supplying Rigol’s oscilloscopes into the Australian market. Emona Instruments has released a new series of 4 channel oscilloscopes, called DS1000B series manufactured by Rigol.
The DS1000B series provides 3 models, from 60MHz to 200MHz bandwidth, 4 channels, up to 2GS/s sample rate and 16K memory. The DS1000B series also incorporates Rigol oscilloscopes’ ASIC front end which replaces all traditional mechanical relays to provide high performance with longer product life.
The DS1000B series is also certified by the LXI consortium, providing users the flexibility or programming over the web and the confidence that Rigol oscilloscopes conform to this rigid industry specification.
In addition to digital filtering, pass/fail testing, record and playback, the DS1000B series also provide logic triggering across the 4 channels and alternate triggering providing a truce dual time-base scope. The DS1000B series also provides the complete set of interface options including LAN, USB and 2 x USB host.
As Li Wisen, Vice General Manager of Rigol explains “Rigol’s philosophy is to look at existing products on the market and see how we can not only improve on them, but offer users more value and performance than they have been accustomed to in the past. Rigol started some 10 years ago as a venture among 4 engineering graduates from Beijing Polytechnic”.
“We have worked hard on all aspects of the product, from user manuals and software to sourcing the components to provide a product whose performance is indistinguishable from any other brand oscilloscopes manufactured in China or elsewhere” explains Li Weisen.
