Coverity have announced the availability of the Coverity Integrity Center. The Coverity Integrity Center, available from Embedded Logic Solutions , is designed for companies that want to reduce product failures and recalls caused by software problems and to make software changes with less risk.
The Coverity Integrity Center provides a set of precision software analysis products. This combination enables customers to identify and eliminate the root cause of problems during the design, code, build, and test phases of software development. The Coverity Integrity Center will benefit organisations that employ waterfall methodologies irrespective of whether their development environment is centralised or distributed.
The Coverity Integrity Center provides precision software analysis for architects, developers, build engineers, and quality and delivery teams. It includes the following core capabilities:
- Architecture analysis – The users can analyse software design to ensure changes are made with less risk and components are reused for maximum business gains. The users can use architectural visualisation and enforcement to identify hidden security backdoors that can cause breaches and data losses.
- Static analysis – The users can analyse source code for defects that can cause product delays or recalls. The static analysis can expose security flaws early in the lifecycle so security audit teams do not slow developers with rework or slow them from working on product innovation.
- Build analysis – The users can analyse software builds to identify problems in the software assembly that can cause product delays. This analysis can ensure that all open source components in the final product are documented and secure.
- Dynamic analysis – The users can analyse applications as they execute in test environments to identify complex concurrency defects in multi-threaded applications and other crash causing software problems that can delay testing and delivery.
Embedded Logic Solutions will conduct demonstrations and presentations on the different elements of the Coverity Integrity Center at Cebit 2009.
