Elliotts has added the Pro-Tech 8 range of structural firefighting and rescue gloves to its extensive portfolio of Personal Protective Equipment and clothing. The all round Pro-Tech BOSS glove has been specifically designed for extrication, rope and rescue.
According to Elliotts the lightweight BOSS gloves offer the best offensive protection for technical rescue, clean up and many utility applications The BOSS gloves and the rest of the range have been certified to NFPA 1971 standards through independent testing by the Safety Equipment Institute.
The BOSS glove was developed by Techtrade after listening to feedback from fire and rescue workers. The intention of the Pro-Tech 8 range was to make gloves that provide enhanced safety through making them more comfortable and flexible to wear. This ensures that the gloves will not be removed in an emergency situation, which is a risk when precision movements are required.
The BOSS structural gloves are ergonomically designed to be lightweight and durable with enhanced flexibility and comfort for more dextrous movements in an emergency operation. They are manufactured from functional synthetics with Level 3 cut-resistant, silicone coated Kevlar for reinforcement of high wear areas to offer improved protection with reduced fatigue and stress.
Elliotts say that, thanks to the enhanced dexterity, comfort and grip offered by the hybrid extraction BOSS gloves, they are fast becoming the first choice of firefighters and rescue teams around Australia. The BOSS gloves are available in ether general-use black, or hi-vis yellow.
