MITEQ’s Model DN-14-12 UNIV translator is designed for applications where multiple Ku-band transmit-to-receive frequency translations are required.

Available from Electronic Development Sales , the translator is microprocessor-controlled and soft-key menu driven for rapid setup and operation.

Translator parameters are selected by choosing a satellite name or a combination of transmit, receive and translation frequencies.

The translator features a large backlit display, function keys and a scroll knob to provide instant access to key operating parameters. All operating parameters are available locally or through the remote interface bus.

An external LO mode allows the user to provide an external oscillator signal to produce non-standard frequency translations. In this mode any combination of input and output bands may be selected.

Due to the uncertainties of the frequency translation in this mode, Miteq does not guarantee all of the performance parameters.

Software upgrades and revisions to include new satellites are available through an integrated PCMCIA memory card.
