Established electric motor companies have forged a strategic alliance with Edington Agencies , an electric motor supplier in Brisbane announcing its Queensland distributorship agreement with Baldor Australia.
Baldor is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of electric motors and drives, and has been supplying the Australian market for 25 years.
The Edington name has been associated with the electric motor industry for 40 years and through Edington Agencies (established in 1991) the distributorship provides the Queensland service and replacement market greater access to Baldor electric motors and drives.
David Edington, director of Edington Agencies sees the recent distributorship deal with Baldor as satisfying a need in the market, aligning well with Edington’s core business principle of providing experienced service with on-hand stock.
“For many years we’ve lacked a strong and competitive product to offer for DC motors and AC/DC drives in the service and replacement market. This partnership with Baldor now enables us to fill that gap and provides them with a strong presence in that market.”
Daniel Vera, managing director of Baldor Australia said the appointment of Edington Agencies as a Queensland distributor was part of a business restructuring plan that would enhance channel distribution.
“As growth partners, Edington and Baldor will grow the opportunity in stages, starting with DC motors and drives to be followed closely by our full complement of electric motors and associated products.”
He added that they were pleased to have a company like Edington represent them in the Queensland market.
