Ecotech received the Victorian Export Award for Innovation Excellence at the 2011 Governor of Victoria Export Awards.

Two Victorian Government Ministers congratulated Ecotech of Knoxfield for receiving the honour. Minister for Manufacturing, Exports and Trade, Richard Dalla-Riva and Victorian Treasurer and Member for Scoresby, Kim Wells also welcomed Ecotech’s commendation in the Small to Medium Manufacturers’ category, further highlighting the company’s global export success.

According to Ecotech’s international sales manager, James Agius, the award and commendation by the Victorian Government will assist them in their efforts to gain recognition in new markets, especially in the overseas segment.

Mr Agius added that their strategy to align the entire company to key geographical markets and niche markets in the face of fierce international competition helped achieve a year of record sales and exports exceeding $10 million for the first time ever.

Mr Wells praised the determination and intelligent approach used by Ecotech, which carved a niche for itself in the competitive world of clean tech and environmental monitoring solutions by focusing on the gaps and high profit sectors in global markets.

Mr Dalla-Riva said that Ecotech will now be entered into the 49th Australian Export Awards to be presented in Brisbane on Thursday 8 December 2011.
