Ecotech is a national finalist in the small to medium manufacturer award category
of the 2006 Australian Export Awards after winning its State-based Award. Ecotech is an Australian owned ISO 9001/14001 and NATA accredited company with over 30 years experience in the design, manufacture, integration, installation, maintenance and operation of turn-key ambient air and emissions monitoring systems. Ecotech invests heavily into R&D in order to develop and commercialise a wide range of products for environmental monitoring applications.
Ecotech has this year received US Environmental Protection Approval for its range of ambient trace gas analysers and its particulate samplers and is NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) accredited for the maintenance and operation of ambient air and emission monitoring systems.
All its systems are designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO9001 standards by a team of specialised engineers and technicians based at its Melbourne Engineering Plant. Ecotech has been exporting instruments, systems and services, since the early 1990’s and has exported to over 40 countries.
The Australian Export Awards are co-presented by Austrade and the Australian Chamber of Commerce with invaluable support from sponsors. Commonwealth Bank sponsors the Small to Medium Manufacturer Award category, in which Ecotech is a finalist. Austrade commented that 83 companies from across Australia had been selected as finalists in the Australian Export Awards from a record 489 applicants.
The 83 businesses that are finalists in the 2006 Export Awards last year alone generated export earnings worth $12.5 billion and directly employed more than 36,000 Australians. According to Austrade, selecting 12 category Export Award winners, as well as the overall DHL Exporter of the Year from such a quality field will be a challenging task. It is a challenge because of the significant contribution these companies make to Australia’s international business profile and to the prosperity and living standards all Australians enjoy, making them all export heroes.
The Australian Export Awards are now in its 43rd year and are acknowledged by the business community as a prestigious industry awards recognising and rewarding excellence and innovation in exporting. The Australian Export Award winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation at the Sofitel Melbourne on 30 November 2006.
