Eaton Electric Systems has announced the release of the Toko TK717 series of low dropout (LDO) voltage regulators for use in portable communication devices, modems, personal digital assistance and battery-powered equipment.
Features include an operating voltage range of +1.8V to 14V and an output voltage range of 1.5V to 5V. The TK717 is stable with low ESR ceramic capacitors. Typical continuous output current rating is 250mA.
The quiescent current is rated at 72µA at no load, and standby currently is typically 100μA. The ripple rejection is 90dB at 400Hz, and 80dB at 1kHz.
In addition, the built-in shunt circuit discharges the output voltage to ground when the device is turned off. Both a TTL/CMOS enable pin and a bypass pin are standard.
The Toko TK717 is supplied in a SOT23-5 and packaged in reels of 3000 pieces. Toko products are distributed in Australia and New Zealand by IRH Components.
