Eaton Electric Systems have released the centralisation unit LM 4I/4O-M for energy management system applications packed with features. The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit is designed to record KWH energy pulses as well as gas and water pulses. The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit is DIN rail mount (4 modules) with overall dimensions 71(W) x 93(H) x 58(D)mm.
The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit is compatible with all the Circutor energy meters as well with other brand energy meters with the remark that the duration of the pulse should not be less than 100 milliseconds (50 milliseconds for ON plus 50 milliseconds for OFF). The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit can accept up to four (4) energy meters as opto-coupled inputs by connecting one wire from each meter to the respective LM 4I/4O-M input and looping the common.
The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit is powered with a standard 240V AC single phase. The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit is built-in with retentive memory that can hold the data even if a power failure occurred. All the data in the LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit’s memory can be communicated through an RS485 Modbus RTU protocol and can be interfaced to a BMS/PLC systems or central management PC.
Each memory register is 32 bits and therefore up to FFFF FFFF in hexadecimal equivalent to 4,294,967,295 pulses can be reached before starting again from zero. The LM 4I/4O-M centralisation unit has four relay outputs that can be activated or de-activated from a master location using a “write” function.
The duration of the pulse for these 4 ROs is variable and can be programmed by the user. The minimum pulse duration is 20mS and the maximum is 5.1S. The unit is compatible with the Circutor management software packages (POWERSTUDIO, POWERSTUDIO SCADA and POWERSTUDIO SCADA DELUXE).
