Eaton Electric Systems  has released CurrentWatch family of current sensors and switches used to monitor current flowing in electrically powered equipment.

The CurrentWatch family is accurate, highly reliable and easy to install in new and retrofit applications.

With models measuring up to 2,000 amps AC and 300 amps DC, CurrentWatch products are ideal for applications requiring monitoring, protection, status or alarming. Typical applications for CurrentWatch include detecting pump jams, suction loss, motor resistance breakdown, belt loss or slippage, and mechanical failure.

Key features of the CurrentWatch product line:

  • AC and DC current sensing
  • Solid-core or split-core housings
  • Self-powered, 24 volt AC/DC or 120 volt AC power
  • Analog or discrete outputs for interfacing with control equipment

“When it comes to reliability improvements, predictive diagnostics, information and metering, Eaton’s CurrentWatch products are a great choice,” says Sanjay Kallianpur, Eaton Australia product manager, Automation & Control.

“With the extensive breadth of this line—more than 120 different styles—and many models with field-adjustable sensing ranges and a variety of industry-standard outputs, we have a CurrentWatch solution for a wide range of applications.”
